The adult pictures are pretty good too!
What will you create when you feel great?
INTO ITS THIRD YEAR!
POSITIVE RULES!
Practical ways to regain a positive and uplifting view of your world and boost your self esteem when you're feeling down, blue, or just plain grumpy!
Fun and enlightening workshops that can be held in the classroom, outdoors, your home - or practically anywhere - for all ages!
For Kids!
Girls 4-8 Girls 9-12
Boys 4-8 Boys 9-12
Incorporating discussions about our feelings - both negative and positive -adapting them into art form, throwing in a bit of fun and positive kid friendly visualisation specifically designed especially for you and you have a wonder-filled experience and a truly happy child! These sessions include craft making and wishing stones! These kids go away positive, uplifted - and very happy kids indeed!
In the last term of 2009, soon after Positive Rules was instigated, parents were given the choice of allowing their children from Grade 1 of a local Melbourne school to participate in a one-off 2 hr session of Positive Rules! Over half of the grade attended to amazing feedback (see our "feedback" page), word got round, and more children attended for their first time, with others coming back to do the workshop again!
In 2010 Positive Rules has developed in two ways: we now hold one three hour workshop for those children who have little time to spare and would like to cover the workshop in one day, and we also hold three x one hour workshops which cover the workshop over three consecutive days at lunch times in schools, or after school.
Positve Rules has been running regular workshops this year servicing Preps to Grade 2s in the area of self esteem, positive thinking, goal orientation, and creating and achieving special personal outcomes.
Groups of between six to eight children at a time (either in the school or in privately - we do mobile workwshops on weekends) are given these workshops at a very minimal price - please remember, although we cannot be classified as a Not for Profit organisation because the workshop is owned by a single entity and not a group of five individuals, it IS literally NFP - each child takes home with them not only what they have learned, and a new sense of self, but also their art work and craft work, a "wishing/goal" stone, and/or a "magic" stone, and an affirmation card that instils a sense of optimism and pride in the child and is a specific message only for the individual (examples can be sent with our info pack).
As a true believer in the need for our next generation to receive lessons and help in how to step back from negativity and bullying, for the mere learning to understand and accept others cultures, feelings and ideas, and the incredibly uplifting, and positive message the child leaves with - and remembers - I ask for little more than the cost of covering the abovementioned materials and petrol. Have you ever seen the look on a child's face when it compares a sad drawing to a happy one, and realises that in the spate of only 15 minutes or so, they alone have (and can) created that change?! Reward in itself.
Reward for you too - it is well worth a workshop being interposed into your school morning, or after hours, or at your home on a weekend.
In 2011 Positive Rules took a bit of a break but came back later in the year to perform a one-off for the Seabrook Primary Grade 3 Curriculum on Conflict and Peace. The kids loved it, and much was said and read re same.
This year along with a two lunch-times in the PR curriculum the kids will make bookmarks to express their one word positive value, and take these home to show and share.
And - for Positive Teens and Adults!
We also hold classes for teens and adults, and have specially designed meditations for these groups! So you as a parent, single, teenager, do not miss out. In fact, all of us go through incredibly difficult times at some point in our lives, and we all need a positive boost now and then. Go to our contact page if you as a teenager or adult would like further information.
Cyber Bullying and Teen Problems:
We cater for teens, indeed all children of any age, in that are going through their hardest years and most difficult times. We can help you handle the changes in your life, the associations in your social arena and the difficulties you face dealing with friends, family and colleagues. Cyber bullying, being as big and as dangerous as it is, does not have to be seen as such if you choose a different tack and learn to step back from the negatitivies others may want to instil upon you. It does not have to be that way. You are capable of dealing with these situations with a higher and far more positive attitude. You just have to learn how.
Siblings of Kids with Disabilities
Yes, this workshop is for you too. If you would like to spend some precious time with a parent, that you feel you have lost or not had for a while - we all know how hard it is when a sibling has disabilities that the parents need to focus upon - then try Positive Rules! It will regenerate your spirit and uplift your soul, and you will know that you have never been forgotten by your loved ones, you are their delight and you are a delight in yourself - and your-self as well! And you will have your mum and dad along with you to have some really special time together.
